Before being killed, the victim was tortured first.

The accused also demanded a ransom from the family. According to him (Julius), Admiral Yudo guaranteed that the perpetrators would be severely punished for their actions. Julis added that the TNI Commander also agreed that the opportunity for the perpetrators to be sentenced to death would be the most severe punishment. “In order for the perpetrators to be severely punished, the maximum penalty is death, the minimum is life imprisonment,” said Munazir, quoting Rear Admiral Julius’s words to Republika.co.id.

The death penalty reserved for the three TNI commanders, Admiral Yudo Margono, was welcomed by the PAJAN chairmanship because the perpetrators were considered to be very cruel, brutal and barbaric, because the perpetrators were considered to have no human nature and even had the heart to send videos of torture to the victims’ families,” said Munazir.

The man who active as Lawyer added. “It is very appropriate that these three TNI elements (persons) were sentenced to death because apart from their actions they were very condemn able, they had also added a red note to the TNI’s report card by creating human rights violations as if by tarnishing the peace that has been being cared for by the government all this time.” he concluded.
