The Attorney General’s Office has named a former Indonesian surveyor director as a suspect in the beef export case
JAKARTA (ANN) – The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named two suspects in a case of alleged corruption in the beef and crab trade-based export credit scheme (SKEBP) at PT Surveyor Indonesia. One of the suspects is Bambang Isworo as Main Director of Jasaraharja Putera, who also served as Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia.
Kapuspenkum Attorney General’s Office Ketut Sumedana said that for the beef SKEBP activity corruption case at PT Surveyor Indonesia, the suspect was Bambang Isworo (BI) as PT Surveyor Indonesia’s Director of Operations for the 2016-2018 period.
Meanwhile, in the case of alleged corruption in crab SKEBP activities at PT Surveyor Indonesia, two suspects were named, namely Bambang Isworo (BI) as Operations Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia (PT SI) for the 2016-2018 period and Anjar Niryawan (AN) as Head of the PIK Business Sector PT Surveyor Indonesia for the 2016-2018 period.
“For the purposes of investigation, the two suspects were detained,” said Ketut in his statement, Thursday (1/12).

As for the suspects Bambang Isworo and Anjar Niryawan, they will be detained at the Salemba Detention Center, AGO Branch for the next 20 days, starting from 1 December 2022 to 20 December 2022.
“The role of suspect BI and suspect AN is that by unlawfully working together to realize SKEBP beef and crab activities that do not comply with company regulations and making PT Surveyor Indonesia a guarantee or guarantor for the Bill of Exchange (BOE) for illegal business activities that carried out by the suspects, resulting in losses to state finances,” said Ketut.
For their actions, the two suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 9 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 1999 concerning Amendments to RI Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

The Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampudsus) of the AGO, Kuntadi, said that the investigation team had held a case or exposed related to this case on Friday, October 21, 2022.
As for the results, sufficient preliminary evidence has been found regarding the alleged corruption crime by SKEBP Crab and Beef at PT Surveyor Indonesia.
“Based on the results of the exposure, the status of the case was raised to the investigation stage,” said Kuntadi at the Attorney General’s Office, South Jakarta, Wednesday (2/11).
Furthermore, said Kuntadi, in the interests of investigations, the investigation team has carried out search activities in several places on October 27 2022 and October 28 2022.
The locations are the PT Surveyor Indonesia Office, the PT Asuransi Jasaraharja Putera Office, and the residence of the Main Director of Jasaraharja Putera, Bambang Isworo. Bambang Isworo himself is known to have served as Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia.
