Building a Roadmap to Sustainable Resilience
(The theme of KNPRBBK XV Aceh Region)
Banda Aceh (ANN) – From 28 to 30 September 2022, disaster activists in Aceh, both government and non-government will hold a Regional Conference on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction. As part of the XV National Conference on Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (KNPRBBK).
This Aceh Region Conference has the theme “Building a Roadmap Towards Sustainable Resilience from Good Practices for CBDRM in Aceh” with 4 systematic sub-activities. First, the Government Component Pentahelix Discussion will be held on September 28, 2022, at BPBA. Second, the Community/Community and Business World Component Pentahelix Discussion was held on 28 September 2022 at the Aceh NGO Forum. Third, the Pentahelix Discussion for Higher Education Components and the Press was held on September 28, 2022, at TDRMC USK. Fourth, the preparation of the KNPRBBK Policy Brief will be held on September 30, 2022, at Bappeda Aceh.
The theme of the Aceh KNPRBBK is in line with the national level theme which carries the theme “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration for the Realization of Sustainable Resilience” where resilience is placed as a process that continues to develop and grow to deal with systemic disaster risks.
The target of the realization of this resilience is the communities, especially those who are vulnerable and at risk. Resilience will not improve without continuous support from various parties who carry out actions for disaster risk reduction. Therefore, this time the KNPRBBK is also a shared learning space for various parties in improving the quality of CBDRM with the latest and innovative methods.
The activity, which will be carried out using a hybrid, online and offline method, will be attended by participants from the elements of the disaster Pentahelix in Aceh. Both at the provincial level and at the district/city level to the gampong (village) level. Participants who take part in the activity are open to all components of the disaster Penta helix in Aceh and open to the public. The most important thing to be achieved from this Aceh Regional Conference is the reflection and preparation of a Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) Roadmap in Aceh. Includes First, discussing and documenting best practices from activities that strengthen the preparedness/toughness of the Acehnese community with the implementation of CBDRM to this day;
Second, discuss and draw lessons from various models and actions that have been initiated by various parties as disaster risk reduction initiatives in Aceh; Third, strengthen the network of the CBDRM movement in Indonesia and develop a common agenda for strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration, realizing sustainable resilience, and increasing community resilience; Fourth, formulate and agree on an agenda and targets for the development of CBDRM in Aceh that is in line with the agenda for disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and sustainable development goals in Indonesia.
